The televised British talent competition Britain’s Got Talent is a part of the Simon Cowell-founded global Got Talent franchise. This summer, ITV will air it; it was produced by the Thames and Syco Entertainment and distributed by Fremantle. Declan Donnelly and Anthony McPartlin serve as the hosts. ITV and the event’s original host had a dispute, which caused a postponement of the show’s 2005 production date.
Following the success of America’s Got Talent in the same year, production resumed, and the program aired on June 9, 2007. No matter their age, competitors are allowed to submit an audition film for the TV show with whatever talent they choose to showcase.
During the audition, contestants strive to win over the jury, which is currently made up of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alysha Dixon, and David Walliams, in order to proceed to the live rounds.
Performers must first win over the public and judges during the live rounds in order to proceed to the final and be eligible to earn a cash award and a spot in this year’s Royal Variety Performance in front of the British Royal Family. By 2020, fourteen different artists had won the competition, ranging from musicians and vocalists to entertainers, magicians, and dancers.
